ಕಾಮಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ರತಿದೇವಿಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ

Sidlaghatta : ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾನಗರ ಶಿವಾಚಾರ್ಯ ವೈಶ್ಯ ನಗರ್ತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯವರಿಂದ ಕಾಮನಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷದಂತೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಕಾಮಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ರತಿದೇವಿಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ಗಂಡು ಹುಡುಗರು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳಂತೆ ವೇಷ ಧರಿಸಿ ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಿದ್ದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬುಧವಾರ ಕಾಮಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ರತಿದೇವಿಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಡೋಲಿನ ವಾದ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಲನ್ನು ಧಹನ ಮಾಡಿ, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳನ್ನು ಎರಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಳಿ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.

Sidlaghatta : Ayodhyanagara Shivacharya Vaishya Nagartha Mandali of Sidlaghatta recently marked the festive occasion of Kamanahabba (Holi) with great enthusiasm and joy. The four-day long celebration saw the installation of idols of Kamanna and Ratidevi, accompanied by various cultural programs.

One of the main highlights of the event was the parade of boys dressed as girls, which took place on Tuesday evening, amidst much fanfare. The colorful procession wound its way through the main streets of the city, drawing large crowds of spectators.

On Wednesday, the idols of Kamanna and Ratidevi were taken out on a grand procession, accompanied by the beats of traditional drums. The spectacle was a sight to behold as devotees and locals alike joined in the celebration, adding to the festive fervor.

The culmination of the festivities was marked by the burning of old items that had been collected over the four days, followed by a colorful celebration of the full moon of Holi, with people throwing colors and reveling in the joyous spirit of the occasion.
